Lydia is a California native and resides in San Diego. She has been drawing and working commissioned design projects most all her life. During a career with a major communications company Lydia studied art and design at Art Center College of Design supplemented by art courses at community colleges. She later attended the Laguna Beach School of art and also worked toward the Certificate in Graphic Design at UCSD Extension, San Diego, California. In 1985 she had gallery representation in La Jolla, Coronado, Julian and San Diego. She also had 2 one person shows awarded to her at the San Diego Art Institute in Balboa Park. In 1991 and the next 10 years, she took a break in fine art to establish and maintain her graphic design business, Zip Chip Graphics.

Lydia currently enjoys sketching and painting plein air
but also spends time in her studio, working in watercolor, oil, pen and
ink, and dabbling in cartooning. She is Sketch and Paint Out Chairman for the NCSFA which holds informal sketch and paint outs once a month. Please email Lydia at crzing@cox.net for a schedule.
